Flow to Rental

• STEP1Eligibility Requirements

  

  Individuals who have held their driver’s license for less than one year or are under 21 years old are not eligible to use our service.
  If there are multiple drivers, please confirm eligibility in advance.

• STEP2Reservation and Contract

  

  Both the reservation and contract processes are simple and completed entirely online.
  Payment is made via credit card through online payment, so it’s hassle-free.
  Since everything is done via email, you can be confident even with time differences.

• STEP3Rental Car Pickup

  

  Upon arrival at the airport, you will be guided to the shuttle/pickup point.
  At pickup, simply inspect the condition of the rental car, and you can depart immediately.

• STEP4Rental Period
  

  

  Enjoy your plans to the fullest during the rental period.
  Detailed video instructions are provided for operating the specially-equipped vehicles (welfare vehicles), ensuring your peace of mind.

• STEP5Rental Car Return

  

  Please refill the fuel tank to full before returning the rental car at the designated return point.
  Be sure to check that you haven’t left any personal belongings in the vehicle.

• Recommendation

  

  We offer various vehicle types, including models equipped with lifts or ramps for wheelchair access, as well as drop-off types featuring steps and handrails for easier boarding and alighting. These options can accommodate a wide range of needs.

How To Reserve

Payment of Rent a Car Rate

The rent a car rate should be payed with a credit card in batch settlement or with a debit card by pick-up date.
(For long-term rent, prepay a one-month’s rental rate for each month).
The following credit cards are available.

For Renting a vehicle

Available vehicle types

Available vehicles include minivans, compact vehicles on 1000 cc to 1500 class, hybrid vehicles (PRIUS), and light one-box vans.

Rental Conditions and Period

Our service is for persons whoobtained the driver’s license more than one year ago and who are over 21 years old. Rental periods are one or more months for monthly rental vehicles and 7 days or longer for weekly rental vehicles.

The vehicle insurance includes a deductible of ¥100,000 or ¥150,000 for total loss. For damages other than total loss, you will be responsible for costs up to the deductible amount.
For lift-equipped vehicles or seat-elevating vehicles (such as HiAce or Caravan models), the deductible amount is ¥150,000.

When you join Full Cover X (that is not insurance), you can utilize JAF road service. Further,you can be compensated for the amount of deductibles for objects and vehicles and non-operation chargein case of an accident.
(In this regard, however, the compensation for thedeductibles and the non-operation charge can be applied to one accident only).

Deductible compensations for Hiace Wagon, Caravan Coach, Litetace Van,Vanette Van, and Caravan are as follows.

Non-Operation Charge

In case of damage to the rental car due to an accident during the rental period, the following fee will be charged as part of compensation for business loss during the time of repairing.

When the car is returned as planned by its own ability	50,000 yen (tax not included)
When the car is not returned as planned by its own ability	100,000 yen (tax not included)

Maintenance of Vehicle

Regular inspection and automobile safety inspection of the rental car in the rental period will be made by any of the following methods.

• Replacement with another vehicle
• Maintenance in shop in a convenient temporary period
• Walk-around on-site inspection

Mileage Limit

You can use the car regardless of the mileage until the mileage reaches 3,000 km per month.
When the mileage is 3,000 km or longer, 10 yen per km will be charged as an additional mileage fee at the time of car returning.

Cancelling Your Reservation

When the reservation is cancelled, the followingcancellation fee will be charged.

• 10 days before pick-up date: free
• 4-9 days before pick-up date: 20% of basic rate
• 1-3 days before pick-up date: 30% of basic rate
• Pick-up date: 50% of basic rate

Driver’s License

Driver’s licenses which permit driving of automobiles in Japan are as follows:

• Japanese driver’s license
• International driving permit
• Foreign driver’s licenses

Japanese Driver’s License

Driver’s licenses issued by public safety commissions in Japan.

International Driving Permit

International driving permit issued in one of the signatory countries/territories (not including Japan)
of the Geneva Convention on Road Traffic (1949).

Must be able to simultaneously present passport.

Notes:

• International driving permits are valid for one (1) year from the date of issue (be sure to confirm the date of issue) and their validity for driving in Japan is one (1) year from the date of landing in Japan (confirmed by the immigration stamp in the passport showing the date of landing in Japan).
• However, persons on the basic resident register who leave Japan and subsequently re-enter the country within less than three (3) months will not have their re-entry date considered as their date of landing (the start date for driving eligibility in Japan).
• International driving permit acquired from signatory countries to the Paris Convention (1926), the Washington Convention (1943) or the Vienna Convention (1968) are not recognized.

Foreign Driver’s Licenses

Drivers with licenses issued by Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Slovenia, Monaco or Taiwan must be able to simultaneously present their passport and a Japanese translation of their driver’s license.

Notes:

• Japanese translation of the driver’s license must be issued by the respective country’s embassy or consulate in Japan or by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF).
• For Taiwanese licenses, a Japanese translation of the driver’s license must be issued by the JAF or the East Asia Relations Commission.
• Foreign driver’s licenses are valid for driving in Japan for one (1) year from the date of landing in Japan (confirmed by the immigration stamp in the passport showing the date of landing in Japan) or until the expiration date of the foreign license, whichever is earlier.
• However, persons on the basic resident register who leave Japan and subsequently re-enter the country within less than three (3) months, will not have their re-entry date considered as their date of landing (the start date for driving eligibility in Japan).
